Thursday April 2 we went for a walk in the late afternoon. We found a different park and enjoyed playing there. We then used up Paul's meal tickets he gets from work to get dinner at a doner kebab place. On our way home we happened upon an Easter procession taking place on the street that intersects the one our hotel is on! We were there at a perfect time to see it all.
We saw those dressed in traditional clothes holding candles, carrying crosses, and candles.
Then we saw a religious float with a statue of Jesus Christ
The band also played music as it passed. We were really happy that we got to see this procession. We weren't going to go anywhere for the Easter holiday and had wanted to see one. Two years ago when we were here at the same time, the processions got rained out. So this was our opportunity to see this.
