New Spanish Friends

On Friday, March 23rd, we met one of Paul's coworkers and his family.  They were visiting from Spain for a couple of weeks for the Easter holiday.  Paul and I had previously talked about meeting for the noon time recital at St. Andrew's and when Paul mentioned it to Raul, he said that he and his family would like to join us.  So we got to meet Raul, Ana, Isaac and Andrea at the church just before the recital started.
Afterwards, we talked and decided we wanted to go to lunch together.  We tried one place, but it wasn't open for lunch.  And another place was pretty crowded, so Paul and Raul picked up some food from there while the rest of us went back to our apartment and waited for them.  We figured it would be a lot easier to eat at home with the kids.  They brought home some yummy Thai food from Pai.
After a long, long lunch, Paul and Raul had to return to work.  I said that Ana and the kids were welcome to stay and play with us.  The kids were 9 and 7--perfect for playing with Glenn, and they also adored Sarah.  I enjoyed talking with Ana and we had a great afternoon with them!

The kids had fun building a fort together and then playing inside it, among many other things.  It helped a lot that they spoke English.

New best friends!

We had such a great time with them!  We were so glad they came to the recital so we could meet them.  Having them here was a much-needed social time for all of us!
