Monday, March 25 we met our new friends at Cafe Crepe before heading to Grange Park (about a 10-minute walk northwest of our apartment). It was a sunny and somewhat warm day so we took advantage of it by going to the park. The kids were beyond happy to be able to play at the park. And we were happy to share a yummy restaurant that we had found.
We took a few minutes to eat our crepes and then the fun began! We were there for hours! It was hard to leave when the sun was shining and we weren't freezing.
Sarah and Andrea had a lot of fun together--she is a great 'big' sister. And Glenn and Isaac had a great time. They made up games and challenges too. Other kids saw how much fun they were having and wanted to join in on their fun.
Right next to Grange Park is a building that looks as though it is being held up by giant colored pencils. This is one of the things-to-spot around Toronto from the Toronto tourism kids' page.
After a few hours at the park, we decided to was time to head home. We walked around the block to see another of the things-to-spot in Toronto--the half house! It's literally a house that was cut in half. I wonder what will become of it...
Some other fun things we saw on our walk home--the CN Tower in the distance, and if you look closely you can see a car that is coming out of the side of the building.
Oh! And this was interesting...never seen anything like this before!
Even though we were done at the park--it had started to get too chilly--we weren't done playing with our friends. We went to their apartment on Front and John streets. They are on the 46th floor and had an amazing view of the city. They were so close to the CN Tower and the aquarium!
We enjoyed a snack and some electronics while there, or rather the kids did. Ana and I talked together and that was nice.
All in all, I think we finally left their place around 6:45. We had met around noon--so we spent over 6 hours together. It was a really fun day!
