Glad to be Home

Despite all the realities of life that hit us when we returned home from Spain, we were happy to be home.  Glenn was so happy to be in his bed again with all of his books and ALL of his stuffed animals.  He definitely missed them while he was away.

Sometimes I find Glenn reading in the funniest positions!
Glenn loves these blocks and building different things with them.  He was happy to show me this creation.
Even though we took the LEGO's with us, he was still happy to put them back together.  We had taken them apart to fit in the suitcases better and he was happy to get to assemble them again.
One morning Glenn came into my room asking me if there were other letters that were also words.  He had started a list of "U" and "you"; "R" and "are"; "O" and "oh"; "P" and "pea" and "pee".  We then figured out the rest.  I love him and how he just thinks of these things on his own!  His mind is incredible and he has such a capacity to learn!
For Father's Day Glenn showed me which things to cut out for his card for Paul.  The one on the right was from last year--also chosen by Glenn--and this year was on the left.  Paul proudly has it on display at his desk at work.
The Wells Branch library started their Summer Reading Program on June 13th.  The theme this year was "Every Hero has a Story".  So they had hero-themed activities.  One day we went and we got to make masks.
Our friends, Emily and Molly came over a day or two later and they got to enjoy the masks too!
Glenn--and I--were happy to be around our friends again.  We had made some new friends in Spain and we were sad to leave them, but we were happy to come back to our friends in Texas.
