Remember how I mentioned that Paul's grandma was in the hospital back in February. She had an operation on her shoulder, and that went well, but afterwards didn't go as well. Paul went down there because he thought it might be the last time he would see her.
Thankfully she pulled through! And we were able to throw her the birthday party that her sons--Paul's dad and two uncles--planned for her. It was a surprise party. We had a good turnout too. Not everyone could make it, but there was a good majority of us there. They reserved the clubhouse in her neighborhood and we hung out there all day. Her sons arranged for phone calls to her from different family members and friends that she has had throughout her life. It was really fun to be there. Paul's cousin is very techy and was able to set up a system where she would answer the phone call and talk through a microphone, so we all could hear, and it was even recorded! What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday--her 80th too!
Paul's cousin's husband Lane is a cake decorator. He made this delicious cake!
We also enjoyed dinner at Paul's aunt's brother's restaurant. (Wow, that was a lot of apostrophes!) :D They own the Pasta Factory there and we had a room all to ourselves. It was good food and good company. We then went back to the clubhouse and watched the BYU Cougars advance to the Semi-Finals. Sadly, that's as far as they went. But it was fun to watch the famous Jimmer play. I had seen a lot of YouTube videos about him, but hadn't seen the real thing. ;)
While we were down there Glenn tripped on the carpet and hit his head on the edge of a padded chair. He got a huge goose-egg on his forehead. Poor little guy.
Paul's cousin Camille rode down with us and kept Glenn company. He sure likes Camille. He had a lot of fun with her the whole weekend. (Thanks again Camille!)
We stayed for the weekend and visited with family again before leaving. I thought this picture was kind of cute of me and Glenn.
Happy Birthday Gramma! Glad we could celebrate with you!

My friend's uncle owns the Pizza factory down there that is right about the Pasta Factory. I would think they were different owners, but still crazy small world. That place is super yummy. LOVE their bread sticks! Did you guys go to Bear Paw? The picture of you and Glenn IS cute. I'm excited to see you guys Tuesday!
