Happy Easter!
Cheryl was with us for Easter as well.
It was nice to have her with us to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. How grateful we are that Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, that He died for us, and that He was resurrected the third day, and that He lives still today!
One thing we've noticed about other churches is how they portray Christ. He is almost always hanging on the cross or just after--they show Him as dead. And while our Church does believe He died for us, we like to rejoice in the fact that He was resurrected--He lives again!
We enjoyed church, even though we couldn't understand it. Well, Paul can, but the rest of us can't. But we assumed that the Sacrament meeting topic was about the Resurrection.
We talked to Glenn about the true meaning of Easter and why we celebrate. We also celebrated the start of Spring and new life. Glenn got to search for Easter eggs around the living room here at our hotel.
We didn't have a basket, so he used the bag from Kiddy's Class--that place just keeps on giving! :)
This Easter Bunny got to use Kinder Eggs.
He even had some special Angry Birds ones!
Glenn was super excited about that!
After he collected them all, he wanted to dig in right away!
He was excited to see that inside the chocolate egg there was another egg with a surprise! We have a couple funny videos that I can't get to load. (Maybe when I'm back in the USA I'll load them.)
We found this cute Easter tin filled with yummy shortbread cookies.
And we actually had a pretty good Easter dinner! We had sliced ham, mashed potatoes, asparagus, kiwi and pineapple.
Pretty good for not having an oven!
After our early dinner, Paul and Cheryl went back to the Prado museum one last time during the free hours. She wanted to go one more time before her flight home in the morning.
We sure loved having Cheryl come visit us! We love visitors! And we love Cheryl! Thanks for visiting us! We hope you enjoyed your time here in Spain.
