Back at Home in January

We sure had a great time in Utah and on the way home, but it also felt really good to be home too.

One of the things we missed was having Monday dinners and Family Home Evenings with Nicole!  We were happy to be back and have her in our home again.  We also got to have the sister missionaries over one Monday.  We have loved having them frequent our home as well.

Glenn had learned how to write his name in cursive and wanted to show it off.  He actually wrote it on separate pieces of paper for just about everyone he knew.  But daddy had a better--and much cheaper--option of how to show it to everyone.  He took a picture!
Great job Glenn!

Glenn was so happy to see his stuffed animal family again!
Glenn was also excited to try out some of the things he got for Christmas.  Thanks Grandma Esther for the finger print art stuff!
Over the years Glenn had received money from grandparents and we had just kept it in a safe place.  For Christmas we gave him some Dave Ramsey books that teach kids about finances and good money-making choices.  We then showed him the money he had and he was excited to put it in his wallet and money folder and to write down how he wanted to spend and save.
Glenn likes to read the Friend magazine too.
And of course, Glenn was excited to build his new LEGO sets!!

Atlas' Birthday Party

Glenn's friend Atlas had a birthday in January--it was superhero-themed.  That Batman costume I bought for Halloween 2 years ago has been one of the best purchases!  The boys had so much fun playing with Nerf guns and running around trying to get each other.  They also loved the pinata and the Hulk on the cake!
Isn't Urban so cute?

Me and My Boy

Glenn and I have taken some time to be silly lately.  One Sunday we decided to take some pictures together.  We didn't tell each other what face we would make, and we thought it was funny how often we made similar faces!  :D
Another time we had been reading books together.  I must've looked at him funny because I saw his chin as his nose.  So we took pictures--and videos which are too long--and laughed and laughed at each other!
Our friend Disha had a science fair project at the school and we went to support her.  It was fun to walk around and see all the other projects.  Glenn was really interested in the space ones.
January came and went so fast!  We filled it with many good things!
