White Sands National Monument

We arrived at Grandma and Grandpa Savage's house around 9pm Saturday January 3rd.  It was nice seeing them on our trip too.  Cheryl and Grandpa Dennis also went down there so we saw them again.  They left Sunday morning before church and we went to church with Grandma and Grandpa.  When we picked Glenn up from Primary, he said that he wanted to come back.  We were glad he had such a good time.  He said, "They said I was really smart and a good boy, so I want to come back!"  :D
We spent the rest of the day visiting, playing games and eating good food.  The next morning we headed out by about 9:30am.  We were sad our visit couldn't be longer, but we were grateful to see them!  We sure love you both!  Thank you for letting us stay with you!

It was a long drive from Payson to White Sands National Monument.  We were hoping to get there a little sooner, but we did get to see it before the sun went down.  It was beautiful at sunset!
We couldn't wait to get out of the car and go walking on the sand!
It was a lot of fun to walk around and explore.  We thought it would be fun to 'leave our mark'.  I'm sure it didn't last long, but it was fun to have our footprints and our names in the sand.
It was starting to get really cold, so I gave Glenn my jacket.  We got someone to take our picture before we headed to another part of the park.
We put on our warmer clothes and took more pictures as we explored a bit more before the sunlight was completely gone.
That night we spent in the town just right nearby, Alamagordo.  We grabbed a pizza and just relaxed in our hotel room for the night.

Um, Kayley, I don't think your piece of pizza was big enough! ;) Where is this White Sands National Park anyway?
