On Thursday March 29, we headed to the Royal Ontario Museum, or the ROM.
The ROM had a unique building structure and it was mirrored throughout by some of the doorways and furniture. We enjoyed the exhibits, but also needed a break at times. These chairs didn't look to be that comfortable, but actually were.
I thought these two coffins were quite unique.
I liked the ancient artifacts about languages.
Glenn and Sarah really liked the dinosaur bones and fossils. The big long one in the background was actually found in Utah!
The kids also really liked the hands-on area. Here they could 'dig' for fossils and try on different outfits that we saw on display throughout the museum. The helmet and chain mail were both really heavy actually.
This was cool--some old maple sugar molds.
And just a few more pictures of some of the things we saw there. The large coin at the end is really big and is worth one million dollars! Wow!
We all liked the ROM and thought it was a great museum. We were worn out though by the end and were ready to go home and relax. We picked up some Kanga meat pies for dinner--one of each kind. We split them so we could all try each one. They were all good, and we each had our own favorites.
