Our original plans hadn't included Burgos, but as we read more about it in our guide book, we decided to stop there. It was on our way and we would need a place to eat dinner anyway. And we were so glad we stopped here! The cathedral was absolutely amazing!
It was so intricate and detailed! We didn't go inside because Mass was taking place when we got there. We walked around and enjoyed it from several angles.
We also walked outside the main square, or plaza, and enjoyed that too.
We went down one of the side streets from the plaza and found a great restaurant. It had been our best meal thus far! We were so happy to eat a delicious meal at a great price. We really enjoyed our time in Burgos!
And as we were leaving, the bells in the cathedral's tower were ringing! It was a great way to end our first trip with my parents.
It sure was beautiful and we were glad we decided to stop there!
