Around 3:30pm on Saturday May 11th, we said good-bye to Gibraltar and headed to Seville, Spain. We then got to Seville around 6pm maybe.
It was quite a warm day and I had gotten sunburned from the hiking we
had done earlier. It didn’t feel so good to be
out in the sun again, but since it was getting to be evening, there was some
shade. We parked near the cathedral
there and walked to it.
It said it was
closed, so we just took pictures outside...
...and then walked to the Alcazar that
was pretty close to it. We paid the
entrance fee to go in and walked around.
We believe that it was probably what the palaces at Alhambra looked
like. They had beautiful arches and
walls and just such exquisite details!
We had almost an hour to walk around there and to enjoy it.
We really liked the alcazar. It was beautiful! Some of the castles and things we've seen on our trip didn't really compare to this one. I guess they are just different. But I could see why royalty wanted to have a palace here.
After walking around the alcazar, we walked around the old city center for awhile. We got some much-desired ice cream and enjoyed the atmosphere and the scenery.
