Extras in May

There are always pictures that don't really have a title of their own.  So I lump them all together.  Here's our lump for the month of May.
Isn't Glenn's turtle so cute?!

One Sunday Glenn took the camera and found Daddy asleep...on his bed, cuddled with Simba.
Glenn loves space and learning about the planets.  One morning he took his planet placemat and then got his balls and stuffed animals and put them in order.  I took a video of him explaining all of it, but it was way too long.  He has loved learning about the planets!
Glenn is a good helper in the kitchen, especially when it comes to baked goods and other desserts.  Chocolate pudding anyone?
We went to breakfast at IHOP with our volleyball friends, Dixie and Joanie.  I have loved talking with Dixie on our way to vball each Friday and both Glenn and Joanie have loved having another kids in the back seat to play with.

Glenn was showing some interest in learning the violin.  We have a good friend who is amazing on the violin and also teaches.  We rented a small violin from a local shop and had Glenn take a lesson to see if he liked it.  He did really well and was excited to practice and get better.  Even though he had this lesson from our friend, we knew she would be moving at the end of the summer.  We tried to find another teacher, but haven't yet.  But Glenn did well with learning how to hold the bow and so maybe in some time we will start lessons again!
The same day we visited with our friends' twin babies, her mom taught Glenn how to do some simple sewing.  He enjoyed that too!
On our way down to San Antonio we pass this GIANT convenience store with an ENORMOUS gas station.  Guess how many pumps there are??  120!  Seriously!

Also on our way to San Antonio, I wanted to show some of the crazy bridges and interchanges that Texas builds.  They are taller than any others I've seen!
And this bumper sticker made us laugh.
