October was a fun-filled month! We had a good time watching Joanie while daddy helped their family move to a new apartment.
Both Glenn and Joanie had such fun being together. At this particular moment, Glenn had stopped playing to read a book. Joanie saw him on the floor and she went down to copy him. Then she wanted to touch him and probably to get his attention. They did this for awhile and both were laughing and having fun. When Dixie came to pick up Joanie, Glenn asked if there was anything else she needed to do so Joanie could stay longer. We sure love that little girl!
Mid-October we had talked about going camping with some friends sometime soon. But our weekends were filling up, so Paul and Glenn decided to set up the tent in the living room instead. So we camped out in our tent in the living room.
Mondays at the library they have a program for kids ages 5 and up. We started going and having a good time. This particular day they did an experiment with floating. They took several common objects and dropped them in water to see if it would sink or float. Then, from that knowledge, they got to build their own boats. Then they got to see if they would float, and see how many marbles they could hold and still float.
Glenn's boat did really great! He held over 100 marbles--they ran out of them before his boat sank.
He wanted to try it again at home, this time using pennies. He got to about 160 and it still floated. Great job Glenn!
And of course there are pictures of Glenn being silly. He really likes getting the camera and taking pictures of himself. Lately he has made videos of him punching the camera and being all kinds of goofy. We love this crazy boy!
