A Visit from Dennis and Robyn

At the end of September, we got another set of visitors--Grandma Robyn and Grandpa Dennis!
They were able to find cheap flights, so they took advantage of that and came to see us.
Their flight brought them to Austin pretty late, so Glenn and I didn't see them until the next morning.
We had taught Glenn how to play Cribbage so he could play with Grandpa Dennis.

That day was a Saturday and Glenn had a soccer game, so they were able to see him play soccer!
After soccer, we took them to a great Austin restaurant--Torchy's tacos.
We had fun taking pictures--even using the mirror to get a picture of all of us!

(These were Robyn's tacos--I didn't take pictures of any others--not sure why.  Maybe because they had already started eating them...)
They are pretty delicious!

We spent a pretty relaxing weekend with them.  Paul took Monday and Tuesday off so he could spend the most time with them.  They didn't really want to go see and do anything while they were here, so we just hung out and played games and talked.
Glenn showed Grandma Robyn his string tricks.  Here she is trying to teach him one she knows.  We didn't quite get it--well I did but only once.  So when we see her again, she'll need to show us again!
Glenn got more Grandma Robyn time when making Sunday dinner.  Glenn loves helping in the kitchen and so it was fun to have these two work together.
Sunday night there was a lunar eclipse.  We were getting Glenn to bed, forgetting that we wanted to watch it, when Dennis called up to us that the moon was changing.  So down we all went and out to our backyard.  Thankfully we don't have a lot of city lights behind us--it's just a wilderness sort of area--so we didn't have things hindering our view of the moon.  The pictures aren't the best, but it was still cool to see it.  We let Glenn stay up to see most of it, but not all of it.  It was pretty late after all.
Monday afternoon we went to Rudy's BBQ for lunch.  Dennis wondered why we took them to the "worst Bar-B-Q in Texas", but hey, we think it's good.  :D
We had a fun visit with them.  It was nice and relaxing.  Tuesday night we took some pictures together.  Paul took them to the airport early Wednesday morning.
Thanks for visiting!!
